Boarding Parent Hub Terms and Conditions
Effective 29 September 2026
1. About these Terms
1.1 These Terms and Conditions apply to membership of the Boarding Parent Hub (Parent Hub).
1.2 The Parent Hub is provided by Prosper Health Academy (PHA), which is operated by Prosper Health Academy (ACN 682 351 079). PHA is the merchant and service provider, and membership payments are made to PHA.
1.3 These Terms apply in addition to PHA's general Terms and Conditions. If there is any inconsistency, these Terms prevail in relation to the Parent Hub.
1.4 The Australian Boarding Schools Association (ABSA) and its member schools may promote the Parent Hub, but they are not responsible for administering memberships, processing payments or delivering the Parent Hub.
1.5 By purchasing, accepting or using a membership, you agree to these Terms and acknowledge PHA's Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to these Terms, you must not access or use the Parent Hub.
1.6 Nothing in these Terms excludes, restricts or modifies any rights or remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded, restricted or modified, including rights under the Australian Consumer Law.
2. About the Parent Hub
2.1 The Parent Hub is intended for parents and caregivers aged 18 years and over of students who board, or are expected to board, at an ABSA member school.
2.2 PHA may ask for reasonable confirmation of eligibility. If PHA finds that a person is not eligible, it may cancel the membership and refund the amount paid for the current membership period.
2.3 The Parent Hub is a private learning platform, not a parent community or discussion forum. Members do not communicate with one another through the platform. PHA controls communication and the delivery of Parent Hub content.
2.4 Membership provides access to the Parent Hub for the period described at enrolment. It is expected to include:
eight parent education topics delivered through 16 live online sessions across the year, with each topic generally offered at a Western Australian time and an eastern states time;
short information or summary videos;
practical parent resources;
regular membership emails; and
new or updated content added during the membership period.
3. Membership and household use
3.1 Membership is purchased per household. The person who enrols may allow other adult members of their household to use the membership with them, and is responsible for ensuring that it is used in accordance with these Terms.
3.2 Membership access and materials must not be:
shared with another family or household;
transferred, resold or made publicly available;
provided to a person who is not eligible for membership; or
used for commercial or professional purposes.
4. Platforms and access
4.1 The Parent Hub is delivered using Thinkific and may also use Zoom, Stripe and other third-party technology providers. Members are responsible for:
having a compatible device and reliable internet connection;
keeping their login details secure and not sharing them outside their household;
using supported browsers and applications; and
complying with the reasonable terms that apply to the relevant third-party platforms.
4.2 PHA cannot guarantee uninterrupted or error-free access. Temporary interruptions may occur because of maintenance, internet failures, platform outages or circumstances beyond PHA's reasonable control. Contact PHA if a technical problem materially prevents access to the Parent Hub.
5. Materials and acceptable use
5.1 Unless otherwise stated, Parent Hub videos, presentations, downloads, written resources, branding and other materials are owned by or licensed to PHA. Membership provides a limited, personal, non-exclusive and non-transferable right to use these materials for the member household's private educational purposes during the membership period.
5.2 Without PHA's prior written permission, members must not:
record live sessions;
copy or substantially reproduce Parent Hub materials;
distribute materials to other families, schools or organisations;
upload materials to another website or platform;
modify and present the materials as their own;
use the materials to deliver training or professional services; or
sell or otherwise commercially exploit the materials.
5.3 PHA may suspend or terminate access if a member seriously or repeatedly breaches these Terms, including by sharing access outside their household, recording or distributing a live session, infringing intellectual property rights, behaving abusively or disruptively, misusing another person's information, or attempting to compromise the security of the platform.
5.4 Where reasonably possible, PHA will notify the member and provide an opportunity to address the breach before terminating access. Immediate suspension may occur when necessary to protect safety, privacy, intellectual property or platform security. Termination for a serious breach does not create an entitlement to a refund, except where required by law.
6. Live sessions
6.1 Live sessions are generally delivered through Zoom or another nominated online platform. Members will be asked to register for each session.
6.2 Unless PHA advises otherwise:
participant cameras and microphones will remain off;
members may submit general questions through the chat function;
questions may be moderated, combined or left unanswered because of time, privacy, safety or professional considerations; and
presenters cannot provide individual psychological advice or recommendations about a particular child or family.
6.3 Members must not include a child's name, school, health information or other identifying details in a question. PHA may remove or decline to answer material that is identifying, inappropriate, unsafe or outside the scope of the session.
6.4 PHA cannot guarantee the confidentiality of information that a member voluntarily discloses during a live session. Members are responsible for participating from an appropriately private location.
6.5 Membership does not guarantee that every member will be able to attend every live session.
6.6 PHA does not record live sessions. PHA may instead provide a separate summary video or related resource for members who are unable to attend live.
6.7 PHA does not ordinarily download or retain live-session chat messages. Any information retained by Zoom or another technology provider is handled in accordance with that provider's privacy policy and applicable law.
7. Membership, renewal and payment
7.1 Prices are in Australian dollars. PHA is not currently registered for GST. If PHA becomes registered, prices will state whether GST is included.
7.2 The membership period, applicable price and payment schedule will be displayed at enrolment.
7.3 If a free trial is offered, the length of the trial and the amount to be charged when it ends will be disclosed before enrolment. Unless the membership is cancelled before the trial ends, the nominated payment method will be charged at the end of the trial.
7.4 Any promotional or founding-member price applies only as stated in the enrolment offer. Unless expressly stated otherwise, a founding-member price applies to the first paid membership year only.
7.5 Membership renews automatically at the end of each membership period unless cancelled before the renewal payment is processed. The prevailing Boarding Parent Hub membership rate will be charged for the new membership period.
7.6 At least 30 days before the renewal date, PHA will notify you by email of the renewal date, the price that will apply and how to cancel.
7.7 If the renewal price has changed, you may cancel before the renewal date to avoid the new charge. You are responsible for keeping your contact and payment information current and for checking communications sent to the email address associated with your Thinkific account.
7.8 You may cancel automatic renewal through your Thinkific account, where that option is available, or by contacting PHA. Access will continue until the end of the current paid membership period.
7.9 If a payment cannot be processed, PHA or its payment provider may attempt to process it again and may contact you to update your payment information. PHA may suspend access while an amount remains unpaid. Access may be restored after successful payment, provided the membership remains current.
8. Refunds and changes
8.1 If your child leaves boarding or changes schools during the membership period, you may continue using the Parent Hub until the end of that period. Your membership will still renew unless you cancel before the renewal date.
8.2 Except where required by law or set out in this section, PHA does not provide a refund if a member:
no longer wishes to use the Parent Hub;
is unable to attend a particular live session;
does not access some or all of the available content; or
has a child who leaves boarding or changes schools.
8.3 The precise content, presenters, dates, times and delivery formats may change when reasonably necessary, for example because of presenter illness, technical problems or other circumstances beyond PHA's reasonable control. To maintain or improve the Parent Hub, PHA may also make reasonable changes to topics, resources, presenters, scheduling, technology or delivery methods.
8.4 If PHA makes a change that materially reduces what a current paid membership includes, such as materially fewer topics or live sessions than described at enrolment, you may cancel and receive a pro rata refund for the unused portion of the membership period.
8.5 If PHA's arrangement with ABSA ends, current paid memberships will continue until the end of their membership period. PHA will notify members at least 30 days before their renewal date whether the Parent Hub will continue and on what terms.
8.6 PHA may update these Terms when reasonably necessary to reflect changes to the Parent Hub, technology, business practices or legal requirements. Members will be notified of material changes. If a change materially disadvantages you during a current paid membership period, you may cancel and receive a pro rata refund for the unused portion. Changes will not retrospectively remove rights accrued during the current paid membership period.
8.7 If you believe there has been a payment error or that the Parent Hub has not been supplied as described, contact PHA. Your rights under the Australian Consumer Law apply in addition to these Terms.
9. ABSA involvement
9.1 The Boarding Parent Hub is a paid program delivered by PHA. ABSA receives professional development and support services from PHA, funded in proportion to Parent Hub subscriptions. ABSA does not receive cash payments.
10. Educational scope and liability
10.1 The Parent Hub provides general education and psycho-education for parents and caregivers. Information provided through the Parent Hub is general in nature and may not be appropriate for every child, family or situation. Members remain responsible for deciding whether and how to use the information and for obtaining individual professional advice when needed.
10.2 The Parent Hub does not provide psychological therapy or counselling; medical or psychological diagnosis or assessment; individual clinical advice; crisis intervention; case management; or a substitute for support from a school, GP, psychologist or other appropriately qualified professional.
10.3 Participation in the Parent Hub does not establish a psychologist–client treatment relationship between a presenter and a member, their child or another family member.
10.4 PHA will provide the Parent Hub with reasonable care and skill. To the extent permitted by law, PHA is not responsible for indirect or consequential loss, or for loss arising solely from:
a member treating general educational information as individual professional advice;
a member failing to obtain appropriate professional or emergency assistance;
circumstances outside PHA's reasonable control; or
a member's unlawful or unauthorised use of Parent Hub materials.
10.5 Nothing in this section takes away any rights or protections you have under Australian law that cannot legally be excluded or limited.
11. Privacy
11.1 PHA handles personal information in accordance with its Privacy Policy and applicable privacy requirements.
11.2 Thinkific, Zoom, payment processors and other service providers may collect or process information needed to provide the platform, manage payments, deliver online sessions and communicate with members.
11.3 PHA will report enrolment numbers to ABSA and member schools, including the number of enrolled households associated with each school. PHA will not give ABSA or schools members' names, contact details or participation information unless disclosure is required or authorised by law, or is reasonably necessary to respond to a serious threat to a person's life, health or safety, subject to applicable law and professional obligations. Where only a small number of households from a school are enrolled, the school may be able to infer which families are members.
11.4 Members must not submit names, school details, clinical information or other identifying or sensitive information about a child or another person through live-session chat, surveys, feedback forms or general support emails.
12. Safety and additional support
12.1 The Parent Hub is not an emergency or crisis-response service and must not be used to seek urgent assistance.
12.2 The Parent Hub, its email address, surveys and feedback forms are not continuously monitored and may not be read or responded to immediately.
12.3 If information submitted during a live session or through another Parent Hub channel indicates a serious threat to a person's life, health or safety, PHA may take reasonable steps in response. This may include contacting the member, emergency services, an appropriate health service or relevant school personnel. PHA cannot guarantee that it will see, identify or be able to respond to such information.
12.4 If someone is in immediate danger, call 000. For urgent support in Australia, contact Lifeline on 13 11 14, Kids Helpline on 1800 55 1800, your state or territory mental health crisis service, the appropriate boarding-school staff member, or a GP or another appropriately qualified health professional.
13. Complaints, disputes and governing law
13.1 If you have a concern about your membership, a payment or these Terms, please contact PHA using the details in section 14. PHA will acknowledge your complaint within 5 business days and aim to respond within 30 days.
13.2 PHA and you will try in good faith to resolve any dispute informally before taking other action. If a complaint is not resolved, you may contact Consumer Protection WA (www.consumerprotection.wa.gov.au) or seek other independent advice. Privacy complaints are handled under the Privacy Policy.
13.3 These Terms are governed by the laws in force in Western Australia and the applicable laws of the Commonwealth of Australia. You and PHA submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Western Australia.
